I Drove In On A Caprice . . .

My mother pointed out an article about Tim Fazio, English teacher at Canevin High School and the second-most influential teacher in my life, in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Every week we had to learn 25 vocabulary words. During the quiz each Friday, he would use the word in a sentence, and we would have to write the word and definition.

His example sentences were often as memorable as the words themselves. I'll never forget the meaning of "lionize" because of his usage of it: "You can't hide your lionize."
